Welcome to Our Practice

You deserve the most advanced, comfortable care available in dentistry. That’s why Naples Dental Art Center invests in state-of-the-art technology designed to provide fast, safe, lifelike results. You will be amazed at the tools and techniques that are available to you!

Your oral health is important, and the FDA approved VELscope oral cancer screening system provides you with a quick, safe and comfortable way to detect oral cancer when it is the most treatable. Each year, more than 31,000 people are diagnosed with oral or pharyngeal cancer, and half of them do not survive because the cancer is not diagnosed early enough. Early detection raises the survival rate to as much as 80%.

VELscope uses a safe blue light, without the aid of stains or rinses, to detect tissue abnormalities in the earliest stages, before they reach the surface and become visible. It takes only 5 minutes to protect your health and prevent you from becoming a statistic. Ask Dr. Etessam today about this powerful tool.

Digital XraysDigital Radiographs (X-rays)

Digital radiographs (X-rays) are a technological advancement that results in less exposure to radiation for our patients and an almost instantaneous picture for Dr. Etessam. Unlike traditional, film-based X-rays, digital radiographs often show more detail and can be archived in our computerized system for quick future reference and comparison. You will appreciate a more comfortable visit with less waiting and faster treatment.

Air Abrasion

If you have anxiety about going to the dentist, you may have a common fear: the drill. At Naples Dental Art Center, you’ll find a variety of dental procedures can be accomplished with air abrasion. Drills have been the traditional choice to remove tooth decay, but with air abrasion, decay can be removed with a powerful burst of air - no drills necessary!

Air abrasion generates no heat, sound, pressure, or vibration, and leaves more of your tooth intact. Don’t let a fear of drills keep you from a necessary dental procedure. Ask Dr. Etessam about air abrasion.

The DIAGNOdent® is an exciting new dental technology that allows us to find cavities on the chewing surfaces of back teeth, even when they are just beginning and would have been missed by previous detection methods. The DIAGNOdent® is a small, portable laser unit that detects the cavity and alerts us with an audible signal and a numerical readout, providing information about the cavity’s size. The value is that Dr. Etessam and your Naples Dental Art Center team can stop cavities in their infancy, whereas in the past they would have to be significantly bigger before we could find and treat them. Just like other areas of medicine and dentistry, early detection and treatment is of immeasurable value in preserving your health.

CAESY Education

Naples Dental Art Center isn’t just your dental care provider; we’re your partners in your dental health. By understanding the health concerns and procedures involved in your dental health, you can take a more active role in maintaining a healthy smile. CAESY patient education is a multimedia system that covers a wide variety of dentistry topics. By watching one to two minute presentations, you will gain a better understanding of the procedures the Naples Dental Art Center team performs.

Sedation Dentistry

Some patients are anxious about visiting the dentist. At Naples Dental Art Center, we offer sedation dentistry to help you relax, so that you can receive the dental care you need. If you are interested, we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas), which takes effect quickly and which wears off quickly after your treatment. If sedation would help you in receiving dental care, ask us for more details.

The Wand

Nobody likes getting a shot at the doctor of dentist, especially not younger patients. That’s why you’ll love the Wand. While undergoing certain dental procedures, anesthesia is necessary to keep you comfortable, relaxed and pain free. With the Wand, you won’t experience the stinging pain often associated with syringes. Believe it or not, that uncomfortable sensation has less to do with the prick of a needle. When receiving a shot from a syringe, it’s the quick burst of anesthetic that causes the most pain as it is pushed into your body.

With the Wand, Dr. Etessam uses a pen-shaped tool equipped with a tiny, ultra-sharp needle to administer the anesthetic slowly and freely into your body. You won’t experience the stinging pain of a syringe, and you’ll feel stress-free and pain-free for your dental procedure. Ask Dr. Etessam about The Wand today.

DIAGNOdentIntraoral Camera

An intraoral camera lets you see inside your mouth during both treatment planning and dental procedures. Our intraoral camera displays your teeth on a video screen, allowing your dentist to walk you through your proposed treatment. This camera allows us to work with you to meet your dental care goals. Dr. Etessam is always happy to answer any questions you may have about your treatment options. We want you to picture how your appearance will improve with dental care, giving you all the more reason to smile!

DIAGNOdentDigital Photography

Digital photography gives your dentist instant images to keep on file to track your progress. Digital images can be saved electronically in our computer system and are more efficient than traditional photographs that must be taken off-site for development.

The Benefits of Biolase Dentistry

More Comfortable

WaterLase iPlus 2.0™ uses patented technology that combines laser energy along with a gentle spray of water to perform a wide range of dental procedures with less trauma to teeth and gums than the dental drill or scalpel. With many procedures, it’s possible to use less anesthetic, and at times, no anesthetic at all.

More Convenient

We can get you in and out of the dental chair in a timely fashion, since it’s less likely that you will need an anesthetic during the procedure. Not using anesthetic can allow your dentist to perform procedures that used to require more than one visit in a single appointment. Also, we can perform procedures that once meant an additional trip to a specialist, saving you even more time.

More Precise

We can remove decay far more precisely than a dentist can using a drill. This saves more of the healthy parts of your tooth. Saving your natural teeth can save you from the discomfort and future cost of bridges, dentures and implants.

Conventional Treatment with Drill and Anesthetic WaterLase Dentistry Treatment
Before Your Procedure Local anesthetic with a local injection usually required to prevent pain. There is usually a period where your dentist must wait for the anesthesia to take effect. Many procedures performed with WaterLase iPlus 2.0 require little to no anesthetic, so your dentist can begin work right away.
During Your Procedure Drill typically causes discomfort from heat, vibration and pressure from contact of drill on tooth. Laser energy and gentle spray of water typically causes little or no discomfort.
After Your Procedure You will typically have numb lip, which can restrict eating and speaking until anesthesia wears off. If anesthesia is not required, you can return to normal activities immediately.

What Can WaterLase Dentistry Do?
